ISABELLA I & FERDINAND II : known as the Catholic Kings. They are recognized for laying the foundations for the political unification of Spain, and also for completing the Reconquista as well as their support and financing of Christopher Columbus voyage of 1492 which led to the opening of the New World. An excellent document signed by the Queen and King, « Yo la Reyna »and « Yo el Rey », in relation to the Crown of Spain, Andalusia /Seville, and also with the Ponce de Leon Family. One document of the first pieces signed by the « Catolic Kings »with the crown of Aragon, dated February 18, 1479 – earlier, on January 19,1479, Fernando V acceded to the throne of the crown of Aragon («Don Fernando and Doña Ysabel by the grace of God King and Reyna de Castille, of Leon, ofAragon »). The document is in very good condition, 1 page in folio, with some reinforced folds on the back and a very good paper stamp with their names and weapons. Beautiful piece, as it brings together the history of the Spanish Crown and later territoriality of the country. See my other items. ISABEL I Y FERNANDO II (Reyes Católicos). Un documento de las primeras piezas firmadas por los « Reyes Católicos » con la corona de Aragón, fechada el 18 de febrero de 1479 -antes, el 19 de enero de 1479, Fernando accedió al trono de la corona de Aragón («Don Fernando y Doña Ysabel por la gracia de Dios Rey y Reyna de Castille, de León, de Aragón »). El documento está en muy buenas condiciones, 1 página en folio, con algunos pliegues reforzados en la parte posterior y un muy buen sello de papelcon sus nombres y armas. Hermosa pieza, ya que reúne la historia de la corona española y la posterior territorialidad del país.
